Meet Our Veterinary Team

Kim started working at La Pine Animal Hospital in February 2003. She and her husband moved to Oregon in 1995 from Susanville, CA. She has a son (Matthew), two daughters (Jenna and Stephanie), two snorting pugs, a cantankerous pit bull, and two kitties. In her spare time, she likes to be involved in her children’s extracurricular activities, crafts, garden, and spend time on the water with her family. Kim loves having the ability to educate our clients and spend time with their pets.

Christina has lived in La Pine for 25 years, where she and her husband raised their three children. They now have 4 grandchildren. Her love for animals drew her to a career in the veterinary field. Christina rejoined the practice in June of 2021, with 17 years of experience.

Outside of her family, Christina’s other passions include 4-H, which she has volunteered in various positions for the past 20 years, along with the Oregon High School Equestrian Team (OHSET) for the past 15 years. She has two cats, two dogs, horses, and goats. She enjoys spending her free time with her family and out on the trail and camping.

Sarah has been with La Pine Animal Hospital since January 2019 and is one of our Certified Veterinary Technicians. Sarah graduated from Penn Foster College in May 2021, earning an associate of science degree, and passed her Oregon medical boards in August 2021, earning the title of CVT. She has worked in small & large animal medicine, but her heart has always been in the small animal industry.

Sarah has 3 dogs named Duke, Buckley, and Finnegan, who are all Australian Cattle Dogs, along with her 4 cats Cooper, Scoop, Rue, and Stewart, and her herd of goats. Sarah has always aspired to work with animals since a young age, and she’s living out her dream every day. In her off time, you can find Sarah working with her goats and being outdoors with her dogs.

Rebekah joined La Pine Animal Hospital in August 2020. While this is her first time in the veterinary field, she has spent 7 years working with animals in other settings. She has many pets of her own including dogs, rabbits, chickens, reptiles, and a parrot. Rebekah is working toward growing her food on a sustainable homestead, and is in school to be a Certified Veterinary Technician!

Josie joined La Pine Animal Hospital in April 2021 and is our hospital's kennel technician. Josie is an Oregon native who grew up in the Eastern area of Oregon and now resides in the beautiful town of La Pine.

She enjoys exploring Oregon by going fly fishing and camping along with her Labrador named Blue. You can find Josie giving all our hospital patients love.

Jolene has been a vet assistant for 20 years and a real estate agent for 5 years. Jolene has worked on all types of animals from cats and dogs to tigers and lemurs.

She is originally from San Diego but moved to Bend from Eugene and currently has two dogs and one cat.

Outside of work Jolene fills her days with real estate or spending time with her daughter.

Ashley joined La Pine Animal Hospital in December 2021 and is one of our veterinary assistants! Ashley lived in Veneta, Oregon for 27 years where her love for horses started, and started competing in equestrian sports. She moved to Central Oregon in 2020 and then shortly after made
the move into the veterinary industry. LPAH is Ashley’s first veterinary clinic experience and says it has been very rewarding for her. 

Ashley is known to be the jokester in the clinic and tries to make the long workdays a little brighter for everyone. Ashley has three horses named Big, Cruiser, and Brody.

Cris joined La Pine Animal Hospital in July 2022 and is one of our Certified Veterinary Technicians. Cris graduated from Portland Community College in 2020 earning her veterinary technician certificate and holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from University of Texas at El Paso. Cris’s passion for animal care started in her childhood and lead her to pursue her dream in the veterinary field.

Outside of work, Cris enjoys riding her motorcycle, and exploring the outdoors by hiking, mountain biking or camping. Her current pets include a dwarf bunny named Mixtli, a turtle named Caguamo, and two Bordeaux dogs named Nikte and Canelo.

Janet joined La Pine Animal Hospital in March 2023 and is one of our veterinary assistants. Janet has been in the veterinary field since 2005 and has worked primarily in small animal medicine. She enjoys working with cats, ferrets and other exotic as well.

In her spare time, you can find Janet hiking and camping in the great outdoors. She has two dogs named Ari and Colida as well as three cats named Salem, Buckshot, and Mr. Meowgi.

Emma joined La Pine Animal Hospital in July 2023 and is one of our kennel technicians. Emma was born and raised here in Oregon and grew up being around animals by being part of the local rodeo club and showed rabbits in 4-H. Emma plans to go to college in the near future and hopes to become a veterinary technician down the line.

She has two Australian Shepherds named Waylon and Mila, two horses and four Persian cats. Welcome to the LPAH team Emma.

Annie joined La Pine Animal Hospital in July 2023 and is one of our customer service representatives. Annie grew up in Oregon and moved to Central Oregon in 2019.

In her off time, she enjoys reading and fishing. She has three cats names named Regan, Dixie and Teddy, one dog named Lucky Luke, and 5 parakeets.
